For power matters, Vellfire has 1 engine option coded 2AR-FE with a volume of 2,494 cc 4-cylinder Dual VVT-i used on the 2.5 G type. The power generated reaches 180 PS at 6,000 rpm and torque of 23.9 kgm at 4,100 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a CVT transmission. Similar engines are also used by Alphard type 2.5 X and 2.5 G.
